nonworking countertop icemaker (Midtown West/Levy Park)

My friend ordered this Euhomy countertop icemaker; when it “didn’t work” right out of the box, he ordered a replacement and gave this one to my son, thinking he might be able to troubleshoot/fix it. That never happened. I’ve never plugged it in, so have no idea if it’s really broken, defective, missing a part… or if it was user error. It’s out of warranty now, though there’s no purchase info. It’s been stored indoors.
