1000+ Piece Old VHS Collection (Hove, BN3)

This is my VHS collection from the 90s and early 2000s. All movies, all kinds. Obviously too many films to list here and I don't even know what's there any more (but maybe that could be the fun of it!) I'm not sure if anybody would want such a thing but I thought I would check before it went to the landfill! So much time has passed I understand that this kind of stuff can be considered a bit retro now and maybe of interest to enthusiasts. It would just be nice if somebody got some interest/pleasure out of it. Okay, so its 1000 plus tapes. The majority were recorded off of TV. This would be pre-digital analogue standard definition TV. A lot of it 4:3. So adjust your expectations accordingly, haha! Like I say this is for the enthusiast or someone who's interested in VHS for the nostalgia or perhaps for some kind of project. The majority of these have printed labels (see the photos). It was a real labour of love at the time! Then there's lots of bought videos as well. Some from stores but some ex-rental also. Unfortunately the covers of these were used years ago in a project of mine so they are largely gone. So you have purchased films in blank boxes I'm afraid. The big caveat is that all these cassettes have been sitting in a back bedroom for decades. Storage was okay I'd say. I've not tested them but I have no reason to believe they wouldn’t work any more. I'm not sure of the shelf-life of VHS but I think they'll be fine? But I'm afraid you do take at your own risk. The other big caveat, is they are dirty and very dusty and old. And they really need more than just a dusting, they'll need a good wipe down and then they'll never be like new. Hopefully you can see from the pictures. The videos on the second layer of the boxes should be fine though I think. But again, adjust your expectations please. So there's about 20 boxes. And then there's the ex-rentals (pictured against the wall) for which I'd run out of boxes so you'll need to bring some extra boxes/bags for those please. VHS is heavy so I think you'd be moving a box at a time and I'm in a first floor flat so factor that into your time for pickup. You'll need a decent size vehicle, preferably a van. Getting it done in one go would be good so a van would be ideal. In terms of collection, I can do next Tuesday 23rd morning 9ish or Wednesday 24th 12ish. I'm in Hove. Otherwise it'll have to be after Christmas, basically the following week. I'm doing the 'fair chance policy' thingy so you won't hear back from me for a while and I'll only directly contact the people I'm offering it to. But I will update the post status though so you know what's going on. Anyway, that's it. I have no idea if this would be of interest to anyone but I do hope so. Kind of sad to see it go but I need the space (it takes up a lot of space) and this is of course very old technology now. We have HD and wide-screen and streaming and so on now. This is from another era altogether but kind of cool in it's own way I think 😀. Anyway, let me know, all the best.

Fair Chance Policy: I’ll wait before choosing a recipient to give more people a chance to reply.
