Dell small form factor desktop PC with a Core i5 CPU, 8GB of memory, 250GB solid state drive, DVD-RW drive, dedicated graphics card, WiFi, Ethernet, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and external additional hard drive. All of that has been tested, and works.
The computer originally shipped with Windows 7, which is installed. Running Windows 7 would be fine for games written for it, but is no longer getting security updates, and should not be used on the Internet. If you're looking for an OS to get started with IT Security training, Windows 7 is an interesting target.
I will also include a Windows 10 Pro license and install disc, so you can update to that, if you want to. Windows 10 is also not getting security updates, so should not be used on the Internet, although the risk is lower than with Windows 7.
Linux Mint is also installed. This is a free operating system, that is current and getting security and other updates as needed. If you need a computer for browsing the Internet, Linux Mint has Firefox, Google Chrome, and my preferred browser, Vivaldi. All of them are current and supported. The computer runs the games on sesamestreet.org with the Linux Mint browsers, and can be used with Gmail, Facebook, etc. just fine, just like under Windows.
Please let me know when you can pick it up.
Happy Holidays!
