Grip shift gears (ME1)

They got too stiff for my 11yr old son to change. I’ve heard you can get cable lubricant which may help, but I’d already bought new gears! Maybe someone could use these old ones. One grip has a little damage, see photo. We just put the small tear on the inside, so it didn’t really notice.
