Radio controlled robot needing some love! (Barbourne WR1)

There seems to be a disconnect between the controller and robot. Someone with electrical skills might be able to fix this. The robot does his system checks fine and then crackles waiting for input from the radio control unit which doesn't happen! We're close to Sainsburys Local.
