Ryobi cordless drill (Holbrooks CV6)

This 12v cordless drill was in full working condition when last used, as was the charger. However the battery will not charge. The charger itself appears to be ok as I've tried charging the battery with a different charger. According to various YouTube videos it may be possible to revive the battery but no guarantees!
