PVC ID Card Printer (Comely Bank EH4)

I'm looking for a printer capable of printing PVC ID cards (employee IDs, passes) in order to strengthen the security on a piece of software that is meant to check these cards for ID fraud.

Brand new they seem to be crazy expensive. Second hand they seem to be about the same.

However as I sense this is the first & only time I will ever need such a machine & as I will definitely give it away the moment it has fulfilled this task it occurred to me that maybe somewhere else in the Freegle universe lives a man/woman who has also had to find a strange printer like this one.
