Chromed steel case with lid, traditional magnetic compass. It has a small locking lever to stop the needle swinging when being carried - the little white bit stiking out towarsd the bottom in the first photo. Also a ring attached so it can be clipped to a belt, map case or whatever.
Retro item - good if you're learning to navigate from a paper map (who does that any more?) or as a curiosity.
Pocket compass (Henley-on-Thames RG9)
