Therapy exercise bike from Swedish manufacturer, Monark. Old but useful for someone that just needs a robust machine to improve fitness or for rehabilitation. Belonged to my father and originally used in a clinic setting.
Pedals a bit worn and bodywork discoloured but despite this still provides a comfortable, adjustable ride experience. Has electronic meter (to measure power, speed etc?) but not sure whether or not this is working – not necessary for operation of the bike.
The bike is heavy and very stable – built to withstand significant physical activity. The seat adjusts via a bolt system and it has tiltable handlebars to achieve a comfortable riding position. The blue knob in front of the user increases or decreases resistance. Small wheels at the front are there for easier portability.
IMPORTANT: the bike is very heavy (about 50kg) so please only arrange to collect it if you have suitable transport and someone to help you load it. Much too heavy for us!
