Kettle base works (Lakeview)

Trying to see if anyone can use the base of the of the kettle, for mine the kettle switch does not work, dont know how to fix it, wondering if someone else has the kettle and their base may not be working , trying to salvage. Or if you know how to fix it, that would even better.
