Foldable Exercise bike faulty pedal (Sefton L31)

Got this foldable exercise bike for Christmas was fine for a couple of weeks then left pedal kept coming off seems to be a problem with the thread. Sellers replaced it with a new bike and said to dispose of old one. Anyone who thinks they may be able to fix is welcome to it .
