Brother scanner/printer - broken (NG10 Fields Farm Estate)

I have my old Brother DCP-2500D to gift.

It's been a fantastic workhorse for years but will now no longer power on. I assume it's some kind of issue with the power board inside.

If someone knows anything about fixing electronics, this may be a good project. It also comes with a toner cartridge (see picture for model) which has some life left in it... although I don't know how much but I was printing on it up until it broke last week.
