Very Firm Thick Foam (Silverdale)

Having a hip operation in 10 days and i am told I need a couple of sturdy bits of dense foam to raise height of 2 chairs please.the foam made from lots bits all glued together is most dense am told. Could glue thinner bits together if needed. TY
