Hello,
I've a mantle clock in a fancy worked golden or brass coloured frame with lighter metal sides, it's got an open back and a fancy domed top.
I've just taken some pics of it but my broadband is too slow to register them yet. I'll try to add them later.
The clock was already in the house I'm now in.
Its battery had been left in too long and was totally dead. I removed the battery but didn't have a replacement to try.I
If I was you, I'd assume it doesn't work and start there.
Look upon as a little project, if you're handy and you like such things.
I already have plenty of clocks and this one just ended up left in a box and forgotten.
Size wise, it's about 19cm tall, 15cm wide, 9 cm deep.
It doesn't have any cover on the clock face but I don't know if that's by design or the front glass cover is missing.
I doubt it's the latter as there are no obvious fixings to hold any front on the casing.
