Fresh Kombucha SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast) is a gelatinous, rubbery mat that ferments sweetened tea into a probiotic beverage over 7–14 days. It acts as a living culture, forming a new "baby" SCOBY with each batch. SCOBYs can be purchased online, obtained from friends, or grown from raw kombucha, and are best maintained in a "hotel" of starter.
This one is the surplus from our weekly Kombucha fermentation and will activate your sweetened tea in 7-14 days.
