Pickaxe or mattock (Thamesmead SE28)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to clear a long-neglected patch on my allotment (around 6 m2) which is full of deep-rooted reeds, and unfortunately a spade just isn’t enough to get them out.

I was wondering if anyone might have a spare pickaxe (or mattock) that I could borrow for a short time? I would only need it for this one job and of course I would return it straight after.

I’d really appreciate any help 😊
