DeWalt XR battery (faulty) (OX3 sandhills)

I offer this battery for DeWalt XR tools. It's showing hot/cold delay on the charger and never charges. I've read you can fix this by jumping the battery or replacing the thermistor, or even using a fast charge base, but I'm not quite ready to burn my shed down yet trying these fixes, so anybody with the expertise is welcome to it.
