NEEDS FIXING - DOESN'T TURN OFF!

Got this Tower kettle "used good as new" on Amazon, but it arrived covered in limescale and doesn't turn off. I cleaned it, it works, but doesn't turn off when water is boiled.

Amazon did a refund and said not to send it back - so before tossing I thought maybe someone wants to try their DIY skills or just see what's kettle looks like inside might want it.
