Amazon Alexa Voice speaker (Grangetown CF11)

Hi everyone! I’m looking for an Amazon Alexa device (any older model is perfect) to support residents in our small charity project. The people I support work are living with mental health difficulties and have fallen on bad luck, being homeless in Cardiff. Many of them find day‐to‐day tasks difficult and often overwhelming. An Alexa device in our projects communal area could help make a real difference. Many of them struggle with access to a working phone (often phones lost, run out of battery, or simply run out of credit). Having a voice‐activated assistant gives them a calm, reliable way to get the information they need without stress. It would also allow them to check the weather so they can plan their day, ask for help and guidance from the Alexa, set alarms and reminders to support routines, use timers when practising cooking skills, create lists to stay organised, access information without needing a phone, listen to music or calming sounds to help with anxiety, do guided meditations and other things that can help confidence by doing things independently. For someone rebuilding their life, these small supports can have a huge impact, helping them feel more in control, more settled, and more able to manage daily tasks.

So, if you have an unused Alexa gathering dust, I’d be incredibly grateful to give it a new home where it will genuinely improve people’s daily life.
