Pharmacy lamp-needs on/off switch (Capitol Hill)

Late 90's pharmacy floor lamp. Brushed nickel/wood finish. Works fine, but movers lost the on/off switch. I called a lamp store and the thread size it attaches to is not universal. I would need to take the lamp into the store to find a switch that fits. I don't have a way of getting the lamp there, so I would like to give this to someone who wants to repair it. Also, the varnish was scratched in several places, and a there is a dent in the base. The scratches can be touched up with a marker or some wood crayons. Coordinated pick up in Capitol Hill.
