Red, Tax till August, MOT till September.
three problems
1. slipping clutch
2. one wheel has a slow puncture (there is an electric air inflator for pumping air into it, required about weekly, it so it does not need immediate attention before taking it away)
3. Both front wings have a bit of rust, carefully concealed by the judicious use of matching gaffa tape, that should be replaced (the wings, not the gaffa tape)
It was only meant for short term as we are going electric. We have never done any work on it, but the previous owner did take good care of it.
The slipping clutch is the worst thing, Too expensive for us - and especially for a car we wont keep. We understand that we could get some cash (£150) if we scrap it, so before we do that, doesanyone out there want it? We are not looking for the list price or really any commercial reward, but nice wee donation to Secure Scotland (peace organisation)would be appreciated. I did do a bit of a search, and clutch replacement costs quoted were between £550 and £1,000, covering parts (clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing) and labour. If you are a mechanic or capable of changing it yourself, it would obviously be a lot less.
