Coffee Table In Need of Painting or Covering (St. Peter's CT10)

Table top has been painted with cupboard paint and is now a bit beaten up by us (candle wax) and grandson.
Was thinking to repaint or cover with sticky vinyl but in the end we we bought new table.
Perhaps someone is not as lazy as me and can repair this table.
I probably still have some of the cupboard paint if required.
Height around 41 cm - MDF material
