As you will see from the photo I have a stone wall that I have lowered and remove some of the broken/delaminated and smaller stones.
I have 5 "animal feed" bags of mostly clean stones. Any mud will be minimal and wash off.
These stones would be great for a small foundation.
They will easily go in the boot of a car.
