Apple eMac, with the following specs:
- PowerPC G4 1.25GHz CPU
- 512MB RAM (DDR SDRAM, 1 stick, leaving 1 slot free)
- Built-in CRT display and 32MB VRAM
- 80GB HDD (Western Digital)
- Fresh install of Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
- Serial number VM51500HSCF
This is an ex-school machine, and as such as various scuffs and markings from school use. It was in use until the late 2000s, when the school upgraded to more modern machines and these older ones were sold off to pupils. It has the name/address of the school marked permanently on the top and bottom of the machine.
I have installed a fresh copy of Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), my personal favourite OS for PowerPC G4 Macs.
When I received it the front DVD drawer was missing. I replaced it, however the replacement is a slightly different shade of white (due to difference in age / yellowing). It's not that noticeable to my eyes.
When testing it, I noticed a possible display issue - there is a slight halo affect to the right of graphical objects such as the mouse cursor, windows and pop-ups. I have tried to capture this in the pictures but it doesn't come across well on camera. The display isn't the brightest but this has always been the case since I've owned it.
Although it is functioning now, I offer no guarantees - it's now around 20 years old! Only the eMac itself and a standard (non-Apple) "kettle lead" power cable are included - no other accessories.
I am giving away because I need the space. Unfortunately if there is no interest it will be scrapped.
