Temporary Home for Baby Grand (East Bay)

1924 Vintage Baby Grand Piano is Looking for a Temporary Home. I purchased this piano in 1984 and, shortly afterwards, had the action overhauled, the keys reglued with their original ivory coverings and the instrument restrung, all by a member of the Piano Technicians Guild. The finish is in rough condition and has a somewhat checkered original lacquer finish. The soundboard is in excellent condition, and has no cracks at all. The piano was in a big earthquake in the late 1990s, so there are a couple of minor dings in the finish. The action is in excellent condition. Sorry I don't have a better picture, but the piano is in a part of the climate controlled locker where a picture could not be taken because other items are stored in front of it. As a result, I uploaded an image which has one of my statues in front of the piano so that you can see what the piano looks like.

The piano is currently in Newark, California, but I need to close the locker due to an exorbitant recent rent increase. I am hoping to move overseas and eventually ship the piano there, but its at least one year away.

You would be responsible for the cost of moving the instrument, tuning it every 9 months and musical instrument insurance. No other costs are requested. Moving costs will be minimal as the piano is in the Bay Area.

Instrument would be good for someone that is a musician, or has children that wish to learn how to play the piano.
Collection Times
Flexible.
