sewing machine (Daet)

​Hi everyone! I am turning 18 soon and heading to college. I really want to help my parents out with my education costs, so I’ve been trying to find a part-time job. Unfortunately, it’s been really tough to get hired since I’m still 17.
​That’s when I remembered that I learned how to sew back in junior high school! I realized I could use this skill to run a small part-time sewing/alterations business while studying to help fund my schooling.
​My only hurdle right now is that I don’t have a machine. My mom used to have one, but it’s completely broken and too old to fix. Buying a new one just isn’t in my budget right now.
​I’m still looking for regular jobs, but in the meantime, I wanted to see if anyone has an old, working sewing machine gathering dust in their closet or attic that they would be willing to part with? I would put it to great use and be incredibly grateful. It would help me save up until I can eventually buy my own.
