This is probably an off-the-wall offer - but if there's anyone interested in making vinegars.....
I left my (purchased) organic apple cider vinegar for ages, and as I drained the container, found a substantial SCOBY or mother'. It has been pulled apart a bit as I pulled it out of the container, but this isn't likely to inhibit it from working.
It will end up in my compost bin, unless there's anyone who's interested in making vinegars and who'd like to adopt the SCOBY?
