We had to pack up our house for a load of work and we hunted for good strong boxes. We happened upon banana boxes. While we initially worried about the central hole, we were very pleasantly surprised at how strong the packing stuff is at the bottom of the boxes.
So, long story, short - got a building supply of these strong boxes, which are great for stacking. Think we've got 20 empty ones so far and plenty more to come.
