It suspends your face to relieve pressure on the eye while maintaining the strict face-down position required for the gas bubble to heal the retina. The brand is Earthlite, a fantastic company, there's also a cover. I'm hoping someone who has upcoming surgery could use this. It's gentle used and worth about $130.
