I have taken lots of slips from my organic purple sweet potatoes. These are about three months old now and they are well rooted. These are NOT the same as ordinary potatoes and have to be grown completely differently. This is my first time growing them and I had a lot of failures to start with using other varieties. The Purple variety are supposed to be the best for you.
Each slip will grow a number of sweet potatoes.
You can also eat the leaves but please do your own research first.
