HMV BSR 2016 Turntable (Hereford HR1)

I was playing a record on this a few years back and it just slowed down to a halt. I thought it was the belt that had perished but after taking it to repair cafe recently i've been told that it is just the spring which pushes the spindle against the cog that turns the table. I have no idea where to get a spring from. It might be a universal spring for all I know , but I don't have the time to sort it.
