Dymo embossing machine (Stonehouse GL10)

An old Dymo; was working fine until recently, but now no longer prints reliably. I understand from Googling that you might be able to take it apart and fix, but I don't feel up to that myself. Takes 9mm tapes like a modern Dymo, and there's a bit of black tape in the machine. Anybody like to have a go? I can put it in my porch to collect.
