Shark handheld cordless vacuum (Potters Bar EN6)

I haven't used for 6 months and when I tried to charge it I found it just showed some flashing lights for a few seconds and then dead. I understand that this can be fixed either by cleaning or a new battery. But I have a new vac now. All the brushes are included.
