There are 2 speeds, fast, and noisier extra fast. This is a Skoda not a Porsche. Push the button on the top down and it oscillates from side to side, pull button up and it stops oscillating. To adjust the head up or down, you have to loosen a nut when power is off, adjust then tighten again. Bit of a faff so you want to get it right first time. Used in last summer's heatwave, have now upgraded to super expensive super silent, which this isn't, but as a fan it works fine.
