Canon digital camera - for parts (Hitchin SG4)

This camera is in good working order )zoom etc working) except critically it refuses to save images to the memory card. I tried a new card and formatting it, to no avail. Someone who knows a bit about them might be able to fix it?
Runs on AA batteries
