Non-working vacuum and heated throw (Evanston- Dempster & Chicago)

I have a small canister vacuum that needs a new cord (1 prong broke off). Worked fine prior to this.
Aldo a dark blue heated throw. The opersting light comes on but it no longer heats.

Any handy person want one or both before I discard them?

I am close Chicago/Dempster in Evanston.
