bike - suitable for a woman (North Camp, Farnborough GU14)

Does anyone have a bike they no longer need? I am an older woman, 5'5" in height, and I'd like a bike that is safe to ride and not too heavy. It doesn't matter what it looks like but, hopefully, its tyres, brakes, etc. are sound. Anything suitable would be gratefully received.
