Piece of timber to make a spindle (Chingford E4)

Hi there. I'm feeling hopeful so reposting! I need to replace a softwood stair spindle, 38 mm x 38 mm square and 78 cm minimum length. If you have a spare piece of softwood timber 1.5 x1.5" (38 x 38mm) or 2 x 2" (50 x 50mm) square and a minimum length of 31" (78 cm) I'd very much appreciate it.
