The factory, based in Chicago, produced pianos up until the early 1930's when business dried up due to the Great Depression. The company is known for their very high level of workmanship and tonal quality. Adam Schaaf Co. enjoyed wild success and supplied thousands of pianos a year to the American Midwest.
