WANTED: FREE VINTAGE / LUXURY UPHOLSTERY FABRIC — VELVET, DAMASK, ART DECO & HEAVY SATIN

I’m looking for FREE upholstery fabric, especially beautiful, rich, unusual, vintage, or dramatic fabrics that someone may have stored away and no longer needs.

My absolute favorites are:

Velvet and crushed velvet
Art Deco and 1920s–1940s inspired fabrics
Damask
Brocade and jacquard
Extremely thick, heavy satin suitable for upholstery
Silk-like upholstery fabrics
Mohair or mohair-style velvet
Chenille
Tapestry fabrics
Embossed fabrics
Ornate floral or scroll patterns
Metallic or jewel-toned fabrics
Victorian or Old Hollywood-style fabrics
Regency, Baroque, Rococo, or glamorous vintage patterns
Retro 1960s and 1970s upholstery fabric
Heavy drapery fabric that could also work for upholstery
Designer remnants, discontinued fabrics, old sample books, partial bolts, rolls, and large remnants

I especially love deep jewel tones, black, gold, champagne, emerald, ruby, sapphire, plum, burgundy, navy, ivory, and other luxurious colors and textures.

If the fabric looks like it belongs in an old Hollywood hotel, Art Deco lounge, Victorian parlor, elegant theater, vintage nightclub, grand dining room, or fabulous 1970s living room, I probably want it!

I am still happy to consider other upholstery-weight fabrics too, so please don’t throw something away just because it doesn’t fit the description exactly.

Older fabric is welcome as long as it is usable. I can use full bolts, partial rolls, remnants, large scraps, upholstery samples, decorator fabric books, leftover drapery material, and fabric from retired upholstery or interior-design businesses.

If you’re cleaning out an estate, attic, basement, sewing room, upholstery shop, interior-design studio, theater costume or set department, furniture shop, hotel, church, event venue, or storage area, I would love to give these materials a new life. FYI I love pop art!
