Clean crushed limestone, originally delivered in a one-tonne dumpy bag and now split into around 20 plastic sacks for easy collection.
• Angular crushed stone, roughly 60mm down to dust
• Light grey when dry, well graded with plenty of fines, compacts firmly
• Clean quarried stone — no brick, concrete, tarmac or soil mixed in
• Unscreened crusher run / scalpings, so NOT a certified MOT Type 1
Good for: paths, shed and greenhouse bases, sub-base under patios or footpaths, filling potholes, levelling and general hardcore fill. Fine under block paving for foot traffic. Not suitable where a certified Type 1 sub-base is specified for vehicles.
Take one sack, a few, or the lot — whatever’s useful to you. Sacks are heavy, but I have a wheelbarrow here to get them to your vehicle, so no need to bring help.
