Metal rod or bar 2" diameter (Wickham PO17)

I've just got a new (well, second hand) metalwork lathe and want to practice by making a couple of tool adapters. Does anyone have any metal rod or bar they don't want. Ideally aluminium, brass or similar but steel could work. 2" diameter or more would help. Could be quite short though. Thank you.
