Document scanner (Oakland Piedmont Ave)

It's a stretch to ask for one, but I could use a scanner to copy a lot of docs into my laptop. Best if it scans multiple pages at once. I priced one but cost it prohibitive for me. We are downsizing, downsizing, downsizing. ... Does anyone know if there is free (or minimal cost) public scanner one can use at a library or such? Thx
