We bought this a year ago in the vain hope that it would cope with the hair of our golden retriever better than our current hoover. It didn't, and maybe we were expecting too much, but we don't use it now. If you have a cat or more lightly shedding dog this may work for you. It gets good reviews on the Argos website.
