The transceiver is a Navico RT6500S, typically installed in the cockpit of a boat. It's 12V powered and seems to work correctly.
There is no microphone so I can't test the transmitter part of it but it powers on, selects channels and receives via the built-in speaker.
Replacement microphones are available for about £15.
The antenna is about 4 foot long with a 12 foot cable.
