This laptop has Chrome OS Flex installed *NOT* Microsoft Windows.

Good cosmetic condition. The riser that cover the laptop hinge is not permanently fixed but this doesn't affect functionality. The screen is new. See photos.

Windows 11 *WILL NOT* install and run on this laptop (the processor is too old, not enough RAM, and it does not have a TPM module).

Windows 10 is no longer supported by Microsoft and *SHOULD NOT* be installed.

Sound is only audible using Bluetooth headphones or speakers, as Chrome OS Flex does not recognise the speaker / headphone system on this laptop model. Also, it's not possible to adjust the brightness of the screen. The track pad is insensitive and difficult to use accurately so I will supply a mouse.

Chrome OS Flex is described by Google as 'a modern, cloud-based operating system that’s secure and easy to manage.' Chromebook laptops are very popular with schools. Chrome OS Flex can be installed on older computers and gives a very similar experience.

Works well for browsing websites, watching YouTube, and using Google Docs. *Not* suitable for playing modern games, graphic design or video editing.

The laptop features an Intel Atom x5-Z8350 @ 1.4 GHz, 2 GB RAM, a 32 GB eMMC disk, micro HDMI output, Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz) and Bluetooth connectivity, and two USB 2 ports. It is *NOT POSSIBLE* to upgrade the RAM or disk storage of this laptop (both are soldered to the motherboard and there is no way to connect additional storage other than a Micro SD card slot).

Includes mains battery charger, a micro HDMI adapter (you'll need a HDMI cable) for connecting to TV or monitor, and an external mouse.

ONCE AGAIN, THIS NOTEBOOK DOES NOT HAVE MICROSOFT WINDOWS INSTALLED. YOU CANNOT USE MICROSOFT OFFICE PROGRAMS E.G. WORD OR EXCEL.

Why might I ask people why they want a free laptop? Though rescued from the trash, I have spent some time (and a little money) refurbishing this laptop (cleaning, testing, new battery and screen, installing Chrome OS Flex). The laptop therefore has some cash value, and I don't want traders to profit from my efforts.

I do all of this in my free time to help reduce electrical waste (and laptops have the highest embodied CO2 of all electrical goods).
