This is a very old machine which is no longer supported by Apple. It's running El Capitain which I would reinstall so it's in the state it would be when bought. Alternatively I could put Linux Mint Xfce on it with no guarantee that WiFi will work. If you don't know what Linux Mint is you don't want it.
MacOs El Capitain is so old there are websites which cannot be visited due to expired root certificates.
