Pair of Pinnacle SoundBridge M400PX wifi music streamers (Marchmont EH9)

NB These are OLD - mid noughties - and the hardware/firmware is limited to old levels of wifi (802.11b and WEP/WPA but not WPA2), so anyone wanting to make serious use of them is probably going to want to run a well firewalled wifi access point to serve them if they don't want to have to lower the rest of their wifi network security. Unfortunately there's no wired ethernet port (these were the budget option in the range). There's some sort of SD card slot but I've never tried using that.

Nevertheless they've been in recent use, and can usefully stream MP3/AAC (not sure what other formats) internet radio (18 presets) and see a UPnP home server (I use MediaTomb/Gerbera) and play stuff from that. One original PSU (one died), but they just use 5V so there's also a USB-to-device power cable that should work with any 2A USB power adapter/port. 2 remote controls (one the buttons now seem to need harder presses, the other one works better).

Just putting them up here in case they're of any interest to a tinkerer. One interesting aspect is that you can telnet (that shows their age) into them to get a command line allowing just about everything to be controlled remotely (I can dig up the manual for it as a PDF); it's by far the easiest way to set the presets.
