Dessicant for prevention of moisture (Longport CT1)

You know how you sometimes buy things and they come with a small bag of so-called dessicant. I've been keeping these for ages, thinking they might be useful sometime for the prevention of moisture build-up in a particular situation. Well, I've never needed them, so I wonder if anybody else needs them!
