Electric can opener (Kingswood)

About a foot tall.
Electric can opener and knife sharpener at the back. Made by Kenwood. I can't manage to work out how to use it having said that I've had it about two years and been stored in a cupboard. Unwanted present I guess.
Fully working just haven't got the knack
